UNIONISTS turned out in huge numbers to celebrate the signing of the Ulster Covenant 100 years ago, culminating in a parade from Belfast city centre to Stormont on Saturday.
SOME marching bands and Orange lodges were heckled by loyalists on the Newtownards Road in east Belfast for complying with a Parade Commission ruling to only play hymns while passing a Catholic church.
THE leaders of the DUP and the Ulster Unionist Party on Friday night came together to share the same platform at a gala dinner to celebrate the centenary of the Ulster Covenant.
