Good afternoon, Many of us will give a cautious welcome to today's news that an early stage scientific trial of a Covid-19 vaccine being developed at the University of Oxford is safe, with few side effects, and can also trigger an immune response. While stressing there is still much work to be done, co-author Professor Sarah Gilbert said "these early results hold promise". We wish the team well as they continue with the testing. Meanwhile, the Public Health Agency is encouraging residents across Northern Ireland to sign up for the Covid-19 vaccine registry to potentially participate in clinical studies. As the Department of Health announced that there have been 23 new cases of Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, we are all very much aware that the virus is still a risk in our communities.
