Parents hoping for a clear answer about when their children will return to school will have been left disappointed today.
Despite Education Minister Peter Weir wanting all remaining primary school children – P4 to P7s – to go back to school from March 22 and all remaining secondary school children – years 8 to 11 – to return after the Easter holidays on April 12, the Executive was unable to make a decision on Thursday.
The only sense of progress from the Executive was confirmation that the nonsensical decision for P1-P3 pupils to revert back to 'home learning' from March 22 has now been scrapped and they will continue to learn in class.
