In Coronavirus news travel firms are calling on the Northern Ireland Executive to 'pay out grants they promised'. Last week, June 23, saw travel groups from across NI attend Parliament Buildings in Stormont to lobby. Damien Murphy of Terra Travel founded ANITA, Association of Northern Ireland Travel Agents in April 2020 and is currently chairman. It organised the NI Day of Action.
Holidaymakers have more options for a trip abroad from today (30 June) as 16 more countries are added to the UK's travel green list. Travellers arriving in the UK from countries on the list will no longer have to quarantine on the return, with the changes to the list taking effect as of 4am on Wednesday.
