Northern Ireland's hospitality industry has been "tipped over the edge" with news that two of Belfast's landmark pubs will not reopen this year, according to an industry spokesman.

Subscribe              Oct 7, 2020           Dear reader,   Northern Ireland's hospitality industry has been "tipped over the edge" with news that two of Belfast's landmark pubs will not reopen this year.   The Duke of York and the Harp Bar in the city's Cathedral Quarter are two of Belfast's iconic entertainment venues, but their continuing closure means that 100 jobs have been put at risk.    That news comes as Northern Ireland continues to see the spiralling number of new Covid-19 cases in Northern Ireland,with 828 people testing positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.     One more person with Covid-19 has died, bringing the number of Covid-related deaths to 586 in Northern Ireland. There are now 14 people fighting for their lives in ICU in NI hospitals - and another 91 patients with COVID-19 in hospital.   The Londonderry area remains a hotspot for new infections.
