Dear reader, The military is set to become involved in the fight against Covid-19 in Northern Ireland's hospitals as the health service here continues to feel great pressure. Health Minister Robin Swann is understood to have requested the military help out in our hospitals, with over 100 medically-trained military personnel to be deployed. The Department of Health's latest statistics have revealed the sad news of 22 more deaths relating to coronavirus. There was another rise in the number of new cases being confirmed over the last 24 hours, with 905 people testing positive despite the strict lockdown conditions that have been in operation throughout this month. The impact of the pandemic continues to hit sport with the disappointing news that the North West 200 has been cancelled for a second successive year. Liam Beckett, one of the sport's most respected pundits, warned that the sport might not even fully recover from the setback.
