Dear reader, Northern Ireland's best known hospital, the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, has been rocked by an outbreak of Covid-19. It was revealed on Wednesday morning that one patient and five members of staff at a cardiology ward in the hospital have recorded positive Covid tests. One patient at the hospital is reported to be self-isolating while currently there are no staff off work as a result of the outbreak. The news comes as Northern Ireland recorded yet another record day of new Covid-19 infections. The Department of Health revealed that the death of another person related to Covid-19 had been recorded while 424 new cases were confirmed. Supermarket giant Asda meanwhile has confirmed that it will enforce the wearing of face masks in its complexes in Northern Ireland. Those who enter a supermarket with no mask will be given a packet of disposable face masks. Alistair Bushe, Editor Want total access to all of our online content?
